Spurs Have League's Best Record, No,
Really, they Do: The Boston Celtics had a 14-game
winning streak. The Miami Heat haven’t lost a lot of games since
November. The Los Angeles Lakers seem to be the class of the Western
Conference. It’s an unlikely team that holds the best record in the
NBA. At 27-4, the San Antonio Spurs hold the distinction of the best
NBA record. They downed the Lakers on Tuesday night, a third
straight loss. Tony Parker scored 23 points. DeJuan Blair added 17
points and 15 rebounds for the Spurs.

Dallas Downs Miami in Close
Defensive Battle: It’s the old adage, defense wins
championships. In the NBA, two of the better defensive teams squared
off in Miami as the Dallas Mavericks completed a season sweep of the
Heat, 98-96. The box and final score really don’t tell the tale of
the contest. The Mavs did a great job on the Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh
and LeBron James. Only Wade finished with over 20 points, and that
happened because of a three pointer at the buzzer. James only muster
19 points and 10 rebounds, but struggled early in the game and
finished 6-of-17 shooting. Caron Butler did a great job of shutting
down King James.

Magic Add Pieces to Championship
Push: You have to give the Orlando Magic a lot of
credit. They went for a complete roster overhaul this past Saturday
and many wonder how it’s going to help them get back to the NBA
Finals. The Magic stood pat as the Heat added LeBron James and CHris
Bosh. THe Celtics also made moves to continue their dominance in the
NBA Eastern Conference. Orlando added Gilbert Arenas, Jason
RIchardson and Hedo Turkoglu to in an effort to keep up with the
NBA’s elite franchises. Orlando sent Vince Carter, Rashard Lewis,
Marcin Gortat, Michael Pietrus and a first round pick to acquire the
three players.

Knicks and Celtics Provide Instant
Classic: The game lived up to the hype. It was a
back and forth affair that saw the stalwart team in in the end. The
Boston Celtics downed the New York Knicks, 118-116 on Wednesday
night. Paul Pierce played the villian, sinking the game winning shot
over Amare Stoudemire. Stoudemire’s three point attempt was after
the buzzer, giving the Celtics the victory in the end. The Celtics
proved why they’ve been so successful these last few years,
experience and clutch shooting when it counts the most. It’s still
lopsided in favor of the Celtics, but there’s tremendous potential
for a great rivalry for the next couple of years between the Celtics
and Knicks.

Eastern Conference Returning
Competitive Balance to NBA: It’s shaping up to be a
great battle in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. The New York Knicks
seven second offense seems to be in full swing with Raymond Felton
and Amare Stoudemire looking like the classic Stoudemire-Steve Nash
connection from the Phoenix Suns. Coach Mike D’Antoni has a solid
lineup that he needs to run his fast-paced scoring offense. The
Miami Heat seem to be past their early struggles as LeBron James,
Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh learn to play together. It’s the old
stalwarts of the Eastern Conference that lead the way.

Heat on The Right Track: All is well in Miami
Heat land. Or so it seems. LeBron James and head coach Eric
Spoelestra worked out their differences. The Heat limped out to a
9-8 record. Yea, pretty impressive, huh. Listen, most basketball
fans want the Heat to fail. it's unfair that much talent is on one
team. Spoelestra is a quality coach. It would be a shame if the poor
start cost him the coaching job. James is the key to the entire
team's success. He needs realize he's playing with better talent
than what was in Cleveland. He needs to make the team better around
him.

future. Eric Gordon is learning to play better. It hasn’t helped in
the win column, the Clippers have yet to win a game this season.

Twitter Hate Fuels James' Desire: The King is
vulnerable. LeBron James is feeling pain after his decision to play
for Miami was broadcast live on ESPN. He’s long been the best chance
for a championship in Cleveland. They were suppose to win a few with
James as the center piece. It didn’t happen and he was heavily
criticized for the way he chose to announce his signing with the
Miami Heat.

of distraction. You have to be the best to the talk of the town. The

season is a month away. It means that Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and
LeBron James must now prove they’re a top NBA team. The architect of
the entire process, Pat Riley, wants another championship ring. He’s
